In August, 2006, S/V Toketie set out from Victoria, British Columbia and sailed South to Mexico, on to French Polynesia, Niue and Tonga following the well beaten path known as the 'coconut run' to New Zealand. In 2009 we sailed N to Fiji then on to New Caledonia en route to Australia! Toketie is now back home in British Columbia after a long passage via the N Pacific Ocean.

hello David and Linda this is Billy Orr speaking - Wow I must say you guys are what movies are made from! I can never imagine sailing the high seas in anything other than the Queen Mary or larger! I do envy your incredible spirit and determination to cross the 7 seas and see the World as we would all like to instead of from the back of a tour bus. I would love to meet up with you one day. I have not seen you David for exactly 47 years and naturally Linda I have never met you. I think you need a stop over in Honolulu and if you ever did I would arrange a trip accordingly.Have nice accommodation for you and you can stay for a month if you like. How about Turkey that is where we really want to go and if that is on your agenda I would make an effort to meet up there. I know Patsy will tell you I am full of BS as we have been trying to meet up in Victoria for 2 years which is about an hour and a half away but I will surprise her soon - as you know she never seems to be home for long either. Anyway I am going to follow along your trip as I think it is absolutely amazing what you are doing - visiting all those neat markets and duty free places are right up my alley that is why I would love Turkey. My Dad worked in Turkey for 2 years when I was a young boy - he built the cranes along the shipyards in Istanbul so that is one reason and the other is that the biggest indoor market in the world is in Turkey - 4000 shops! Wow better than Costco! God Bless you both and have a wonderful safe voyage. Hope we can meet up some day. Billy and Jan.
